COURSE OVERVIEW

This NVQ advanced course is designed for people wanting to enter the professional beauty industry. This qualification will provide basic knowledge and skills for learners to work at a lower level in a salon. This condensed course provides the learner with the advantage of qualifying within a short period, gaining employment within the marketplace, and earning sooner. This course offers flexible study whilst achieving a worldwide recognised qualification.

This qualification includes all the required elements to work effectively as a beauty therapist specialising in make-up including facial skincare, enhancement of eyebrows and eyelashes, make-up services, instructing on skincare and make-up application, effectiveness at work, health and safety and promoting additional products and services to clients.

COURSE CONTENT

B4 – Provide Facial Skincare Treatments

You will learn the first steps to learning massage and luxury facial treatments, you will analyse skin types and advise clients on product sustainability for their needs.

B5 – Enhance the Appearance of the Lashes and Brows

You will learn tinting brows & lashes, strip lashes, cluster lashes and shaping brows.

B8 – Provide Make Up Services

You will learn application of day, evening, and special occasion make0up, consult for make-up, face shapes and contouring. You will plan a special occasion theme, create a mood board, include props, and photograph your finished look.

B9 – Instruct Clients in the use of and Application of Skin Care Products and Make-Up

This unit is about providing skin care and make-up instruction and giving product advice to individual clients from a variety of age groups and for a range of different purposes. You will need to be able to advise and instruct on the correct use of tools, equipment, and the application of skin care and make-up products to suit a variety of clients’ needs.

B10 – Enhance Appearance using Skin Camouflage 

This unit is about providing simple skin camouflage applications. This unit covers the use of a variety of specialist camouflage products designed to restore the skin coloration to the surrounding skin tone.

G4 – Fulfil Salon Reception Duties

Will cover handling enquiries/appointments, maintaining reception area, dealing with payments, stock control, client records, and communication skills.

Improving personal performance, working as a team, understanding roles, procedures, and targets.
