Course Overview

The VTCT Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Beauty Therapy Make-up is a substantial vocational qualification for learners seeking a career as an employed and/or self-employed beauty therapist specialising in make-up. This qualification is based on the beauty therapy National Occupational Standards (NOS) for make-up and is recognised by the UK’s leading professional bodies, The British Association of Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology (BABTAC) and the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) as being fit for purpose for preparing learners for a career as a beauty therapist specialising in make-up.

Who is this qualification for?

• Fully Funded for anyone aged 19+
• UK Residents

Prerequisites – There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.

THE MODULES YOU WILL STUDY ARE:

• Provide make-up services
• Provide facial skin care treatment
• Instruct clients in the use and application of skin care products and make-up
• Enhance the appearance of eyebrows and eyelashes
• Develop and maintain effectiveness at work
• Promote additional services or products to customers
• Anatomy and Physiology for Beauty Therapists
• Ensure responsibility for actions to reduce risks to health and safety
• Enhance appearance using skin camouflage

Government Funding Explained?

It is a scheme run by the Government to allow people to develop or change their careers. You can have up to 4 funded courses in your lifetime to do so.

Level 2 – Government Grant (non-repayable) and requirements are to be met. (This does not come into your 4 credits)

Requirements:

On any kind of benefit (not just child benefit alone) such as: PIP, Disability Allowance, Universal Credit, Housing Benefit, Tax Credits, Working Tax Credits, Jobseeker’s Allowance, Income-related Employment and Support Allowance, Income Support and others.

OR

Either your own personal salary is less than £21,000 per annum (or household under £30,000 per annum OR on any benefits (E.G: Tax Credits, Universal Credits, Child Benefit, Statutory Maternity Pay etc – Please contact us to check)
