At SJC Training Academy T/A HB Academy, we are passionate about improving education, skills, and career opportunities within the hair and beauty industry. We offer affordable, accredited Hair & Beauty courses designed to suit a wide range of learners and lifestyles.
Based in our modern, purpose-built training academy in Sidcup, Blackfen, we provide intensive and fast-track training courses available during the daytime, evenings, and weekends. Our flexible approach allows us to arrange training dates to meet individual needs.
HB Academy is a well-established and successful private and funded training provider, with tutors who have over 20 years of industry experience. We specialise in intensive training programmes that focus on developing practical, hands-on skills in a supportive and professional learning environment.
To ensure every learner receives the highest level of support and guidance, our classes are kept small, allowing tutors to provide close observation and one-to-one support throughout the course.
Upon successful completion of training, learners receive a diploma certificate issued by SJC Training Academy and accredited by ABT/CPD. This certification demonstrates professional competency and enables learners to obtain Public Liability Insurance, allowing them to begin offering treatments to paying clients from home, mobile services, or within a salon environment.
We are also committed to supporting young people, including learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them to build confidence, develop employability skills, and achieve their goals within the hair and beauty sector.

We offer accredited courses in hairdressing, barbering, beauty therapy, nail technology, makeup artistry, lash and brow treatments, and more. Short diplomas and advanced masterclasses are also available.

Parking is reserved for staff, so there is limited space available on our forecourt, however clients are able to use the forecourt if there is space. Students are required to find alternative parking. If you are a student or are unable to park on the forecourt we recommend parking down Sycamore Avenue or Days Lane.
