Professional training course in Chemical Skin Peeling.

A cosmetic chemical skin peel treatment acts as a chemical exfoliant, removing the upper layers of skin and dead skin cells to reveal the fresh, new skin underneath. It is one of the most popular non-invasive skin treatments available. It is suitable for all skin types but is particularly suitable for acne, pigmentation, photodamage, uneven skin tone and texture and anti-ageing and when used correctly can improve the look and feel of the skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and age spots.

Glycolic acid works in a number of ways, primarily through its exfoliation properties. On application the glycolic acid penetrates the upper layer of the epidermis, weakening the binding properties of the lipids that hold dead skin cells together. This action allows the layer of dead skin cells to dissolve revealing the underlying skin.

Open to experienced therapists only with one or more of the following qualifications:

NVQ Level 2 Beauty or equivalent

Please note – We are sorry you MUST check with your insurance company to see what qualifications they also require.

Please note you will be required to give and receive treatments as part of the course and therefore will need to remove your make-up during the course. Students must not have undergone cosmetic procedures such as skin fillers within the 12 weeks prior to the course.

All products and tools are provided for the training day at the centre when you attend. No kit is required to complete the training day.

Models

For this course it is necessary that you provide 2 models, and they arrive at the academy at 11am on the day of your course. If for any reason you are unable to provide your own models, please contact the academy to have them try and arrange them for you.

Qualification:

When you have successfully completed your training course(s), you will receive a diploma certificate issued by SJC Training Academy and accredited by ABT. This not only demonstrates your commitment to the training, but also allows you to obtain Public Liability insurance so you can start offering treatments to paying clients from home or mobile.
