On our one-day Dermaplaning course you will gain the skills in this easy effective procedure which involves the use of a surgical blade to remove the dead skin from the epidermis as well as vellus hair. This is a fast-painless treatment and the benefits of this treatment include lessening the appearance of acne scaring, any sun damage or hyper pigmentation and fine lines and wrinkles. Dermaplaning instantly smooths and softens skin and increases cellular turnover.

Dermaplaning removes the fine peach fuzz hair on the face. preventing the excess hair that traps oil and dirt which can lead to other complications on the skin.

Increases absorption of skincare products on the face by scraping away the dirt, oil and dead skin cells, facial products, other salon treatments are much more effective because they can penetrate the skin more easily.

Our one day course will guide you through how to perform this treatment confidently using the correct tools, together with the knowledge and theory to understand the techniques required to add this service to your treatment list.

Dermaplaning can be done as a standalone treatment or to enhance another facial treatment

Pre-course details

You will need to hold one of the following

Check with your insurance company to see if they will insure you with your current qualifications to do this course

Nationally recognised level 3 in Beauty Therapy

VTCT level 4 in micropigmentation

Nationally recognised level 2 or 3 in A&P alongside an ABT accredited Microblading qualification as a pre-requisite for this course.

Please note you will be required to give and receive treatments as part of the course and therefore will need to remove your make-up during the course. Students must not have undergone cosmetic procedures such as skin fillers within the 12 weeks prior to the course.

All products and tools are provided for the training day at the centre when you attend. No kit is required to complete the training day.

Models

For this course it is necessary that you provide 1-2 models on the day of your course. (A fee will be charged for the treatment.) If for any reason you are unable to provide your own models, please contact the academy to have them try and arrange them for you.

Qualification

When you have successfully completed your training course(s), you will receive a diploma certificate issued by SJC Training Academy and accredited by ABT / CPD. This not only demonstrates your commitment to the training, but also allows you to obtain Public Liability insurance so you can start offering treatments to paying clients from home or mobile.
