Our Waxing Course is designed for those looking to learn how to safely and successfully carry out a variety of waxing treatments and to be able to offer these services to clients from home and/or mobile. You will be taught to carry out a range of the most popular waxing treatments including the use of warm and hot wax, as well as learning the theoretical knowledge and safety procedures involved in practicing these treatments to the industry standards.

Our diploma courses are suitable for complete beginners and do not require any prior learning to be able to train with us; many of our students are not yet beauty trained and are looking to start up a business in the industry. We welcome students of all abilities, whether you are looking to learn a new skill from scratch or currently working as a therapist and looking to refresh your knowledge of particular treatments.

Pre-course details

This course is suitable for beginners and technicians looking to update their skills.

All products will be provided for you on the day. You will need to have at least 2 weeks body hair growth (legs, underarm and bikini area) as you will be working on each other during the course. Please avoid hot showers and moisturisers 24 hours prior to the course. We recommend you bring your own lunch.
Please be aware that our courses are often mixed and not all training facilities have privacy screens. If you don’t feel comfortable with this and would prefer to attend a single-sex course, please contact the store before you make your booking and we can arrange this.

Models

For this course it is necessary that you provide 2 models, and they arrive at the academy at 11am on the day of your course. If for any reason you are unable to provide your own models, please contact the academy to have them try and arrange them for you.

Qualification

When you have successfully completed your training course(s), you will receive a diploma certificate issued by SJC Training Academy and accredited by ABT. This not only demonstrates your commitment to the training, but also allows you to obtain Public Liability insurance so you can start offering treatments to paying clients from home or mobile.
