The difference between qualifications: Diplomas vs NVQ/VRQ qualifications
This depends on what you are looking to do, if you are looking to carry out treatments on friends and family, go mobile or run your business from home then we would recommend our diploma courses accredited by the ABT / CPD.
However, if you are looking to work in a Salon or Spa most would require you to have an NVQ/VRQ qualification. Please check with your local authority to see what they require.
If you decide on the NVQ/VRQ qualification you will also be required to attend an additional day/s for assessments, further to this you will automatically receive a diploma qualification. More information will be given to you during your practical day at the Academy.

Our diploma courses are suitable for complete beginners and do not require any prior learning to be able to train with us; many of our students are not yet beauty trained and are looking to start up a business in the industry. We welcome students of all abilities, whether you are looking to learn a new skill from scratch or currently working as a therapist and looking to refresh your knowledge of particular treatments.
Open to experienced therapists only with one or more of the following qualifications: (depending on course please call to confirm)
Please note – You MUST check with your insurance company to see what qualifications they also require for you to be able to gain insurance cover.
Most of our courses are one day and run from 10-5pm
Some Advanced courses are run over 2/3 days (not consecutive)
Our shorter courses run for 4hrs
Courses are available 7 days a week evenings included
